  1. Context:
Promotion of livestock management and organic agriculture was the main objective of this month because livestock is also a part of income generation activity and promotion of organic agriculture in rural area.

  1. Major Achievements : (Results/targeted achievements)

·         16 farmers have  benefited through the interface with agriculture department
·    34 households, 50 cattels have benefited through the vaccination facility of government for livestock
·         5  house holds 12 cattels have benefited through the insurance schemes for livestock  
·     10 farmers have prepared  organic inputs-Amritpani and das patti ark medicine for the Kharif season.
·         226 villagers have visited in Rozgar Dhaba in reporting month

    A total of 226people at both the Rozgar Dhaba had profited through the computer TV and news paper in which was from Ambapada 106 and from Kajalpada 120 people.

    By the caritas India had  organized 4 days workshop on proposal formulation (Manthan) for Jeevika and Ankur project in Disha – R.C.D. social service society Ajmer  in which three people had participate from SJVS Banswara.

    All participants had known about the organic   agriculture and preparation of organic fertilizers and 27 farmers have started preparation of organic fertilizers.

Training on organic manure preparation


Training on organic manure preparation had conducted on 20, 22, and 24 September 2012 serial wise in Jamrai, Ambapada and Kanajpada village. The assistance agriculture officer Mr. Bhupendra Joshi was the resource persons for these trainings total 63 participants availed the benefits of these training. Where was from Jamrai 20, Ambapada 22 and from Kanajpada 21.

·         Land treatment, seed treatment
·         Organic fertilisers such as Green fertilisers, compost fertilisers vermin compost, super compost
·         Organic medicine such as Amrit pani, use of leaf of neem, das Patti ark etc.
·         Government schemes related for agriculture. He had also focused on up coming Rabi crops schemes for farmers Such as Rabi abhiyan, agricultural equipment schemes etc.
Output
All participants knew about the organic agriculture, preparation of organic fertilizers and government schemes of KVK related to kharif season. 33 farmers have started the preparation of organic fertilisers and medicine.

Training on Live Stock management for sustainable agriculture
Training on Live stock management had conducted on 6, 10, 21 and 26 September 2012 serial wise in khedlee, Kanajpada, Amlipada and Nathpura village. The Dr. Ranawat of vetnary Hospital and the assistant of vet nary hospital Mr. Valu bhabor and Mr. Ramchand Devda was the resource person of these training.  Total 84 participants availed the benefits of theses training.

Output
In this month, total 34 participants have the benefits of vaccination of animals and 5 farmers got the benefits of insurance schemes of Government in 50% subsidy

Monthly staff review meeting
The Monthly staff Review meeting had conducted on 1/10/2012 in SJVS, Banswara. In which Director of SJVS Banswara, accountant, coordinator and 5 animators of LIFE project had participated. Firstly, Animators of LIFE project had presented monthly activity report to the coordinator after that, the coordinators presented the combine monthly progress report September month and next month  planning to Director and all staff.  Coordinator and animator had shared some key learning of 4 days workshop on project formulation and related some field activity. The Director had told to coordinator and animators that this month may be external monitoring from funding agency of the project so please do work properly. He had also suggested to coordinator and animators that every one complete there target activity monthly wise and done the reporting systematically.

4. Linkages & Liasioning:
·         Networking with Panchayat for attending gram panchayat meting.
·         Mr. Rajendra Singh, DDM, NABARD, Banswara for linkage to farmers club for approval of farmers club.
·         Networking with KVK for organizing the training on organic manure preparation

   5.  Challenges faced during the implementation of the project (during particular month)

·  Problem in conducting the training at Village level because Resource person don’t meet at time by which training don’t successful according to planning.
·  Problem in Conducting inauguration program of Farmers club by NABARD because DDM time schedule is very busy and he isn’t giving fixed date for inauguration.

    7.  Learning’s from the project during particular month

·   LIFE team has learned about proposal formulation process for the project.
·   LIFE team has also learned about the live stock management process and knows about the government schemes for livestock.
